At JMG Systems LLC, we love Ford Transit vans. After traveling in our own Transit Adventure Van for over 3 years, we finally decided enough was enough. We set out to design, test, and develop a premium front seat built specifically for long distance comfort and life on the road.

The Cruiser Front Seats feature a unique frame specifically engineered for front seat applications and built for life on the road. Designed with long distance comfort in mind, these seats include ergonomic lumbar support, a longer seat pan for improved leg support, an adjustable headrest, and dual self adjusting armrests that provide exceptional comfort and support while driving.

Is the Cruiser compatible with the factory 10-way power base
We wish we could reuse the factory 10-way power. Unfortunately, the power base and the front seat frame are all integrated into one assembly that is riveted together, and we have no way of separating and reusing the power base.
Will these seats work w/ my factory swivel?
We wish we could reuse the factory swivels. Unfortunately, the swivel mechanism and the front seat frame are all integrated into one assembly that is riveted together, and we have no way of separating and reusing the swivel.
Will the heaters work w/ factory control button
Sorry, the factory heater controls require a temperature sensor built into the seat to monitor temperature, and we have not been able to find these sensors.
Will the Cruiser seat work with an after market swivel?
We do have a Low-Profile seat adapter that is compatible with a Koolands Transit swivel for "Manual" seats. You can also use a Scopema swivel if you prefer that swivel. All other swivel mechanisms are too tall for use with our Cruiser front seats.
Is there a Power version of the front seat?
At this time we do not have a power recline or 10-way power base that will work with our front seat.
Are Heaters available?
Yes, heating elements can be added to the seat and lower back area as an upgrade option, but it is not compatible with the factory control. The heaters are supplied with a complete wiring harness, control switch, and fuse and are designed to connect to a 12Vdc power source that is active only when the van is running and de-energized when the engine is off.
Are there any color options?
As of July 2026, we now offer the Cruiser front seats in Black and mid Gray color. The Gray seat color is a close match to the Gray Transit door panels. Both colors are in vinyl.
Does the Cruiser front seat have the small thoracic airbag like the factory seat?
No, sorry. The factory airbags are proprietary airbags, and we cannot use or integrate them into our Cruiser front seat.
Will my Air Bag Light turn on after the front seat upgrade?
If you follow our installation instructions, the Air Bag warning light will NOT illuminate after the Cruiser front seats are installed. We have successfully installed numerous Cruiser front seats in Transit vans with both power and manual factory seats, with no issues or Air Bag warning lights.
What seat heights are available with the Cruiser front seats?
If you are NOT planning to use an aftermarket swivel, you can choose between two Transit adapter options:
Standard Transit Adapter Kit: Seat height of 17" from the floor to the top of the seat cushion.
Low-Profile Transit Adapter Kit: Seat height of 16" from the floor to the top of the seat cushion.
If you are using the Kooland’s manual Transit swivel, we will build the Cruiser front seat with our Low-Profile Transit Adapter Kit, resulting in an installed seat height of approximately 17.25".
